Job summary

Sandstone Care - Castle Rock, Colorado seeks a dedicated Mental Health Technician to support clients in our residential Castle Rock facility. You will provide direct client care, assist with therapeutic activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of college or 1 year of human services experience; an associate or bachelor’s in psychology or behavioral health is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college or one year of human services experience required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide clients during therapeutic and recreational activities, facilitate skill-building exercises, and support clients in achieving treatment goals.
• Respond to incidents and use de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
• Work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of client behavior and report significant changes promptly; ensure confidentiality and safety compliance.
• Utilize a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to support clients with behavioral health challenges.
