Job summary

Sandstone Care - Castle Rock, Colorado seeks a Mental Health Technician to support clients at our residential campus. You will provide direct client care, assist with therapeutic activities, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, healing environment.

Responsibilities include supervising clients, managing crises with de-escalation, documenting progress, and upholding trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of college education or 1 year of human services experience is required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or behavioral health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide clients during therapeutic and recreational activities, facilitate skill-building exercises, and support clients in achieving treatment goals.
• Respond to incidents and use de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
• Work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of client behavior and report significant changes promptly. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding confidentiality and client safety.
• Utilize a compassionate approach to support clients with behavioral health challenges.
