Job summary

Michiana Behavioral Health in Plymouth, IN, is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the night shift (10:00 pm–6:30 am). You will join a dedicated treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling to individuals across age groups with mental health needs.

Responsibilities include orienting patients, carrying out treatment-plan activities under nurse supervision, maintaining boundaries, and ensuring safety. Weekend rotation and possible overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College degree a plus.
• Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
• Hours: 40 hours/week. Night shift (10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Must be able to work rotating weekends.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Orient patient to unit and program.
• Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
• Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
• Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
• Assist patient with activities of daily living.
• Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
