Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. Working alongside licensed clinical staff, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support that addresses the physical, social, and behavioral needs of each patient.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The MHT provides routine non-acute physical, behavioral, and mental care to the patient on the milieu under the direction of licensed staff.

• Completes all required documentation in a clear, concise manner, showing understanding of patient goals and treatment plan.
• Responsive to patient specific factors and adapts to clinical intervention to fit individual patient need/goals.
• Maintains consistency throughout shift functions and through outgoing and oncoming shift report to ensure appropriate treatment is provided to each patient.
• Fosters and actively assists in maintaining unit’s therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Experience in direct patient care AND/OR
• Completion of Nursing Assistant Training/previous psychiatric experience preferred
