Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech to support psychiatric patients in crisis under RN supervision at our Louisville facility. You will help provide a safe, therapeutic environment, assist with daily living activities, and support nursing and clinical staff in patient care execution.

Required are high school completion and CPR certification, with preferred college coursework in social/health sciences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification accredited by the American Heart Association is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains the therapeutic environment.
• Identifies, manages, and stabilizes crisis situations.
• Transports patients and accompanies them for tests and discharge transportation.
• Performs vital signs and related monitoring.
• Assists with basic nursing tasks and activities of daily living as directed.
• Collaborates with other care team members to support patient care.

Education
