Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse at the CN II level to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The role requires autonomy, advanced competencies, oncology chemotherapy experience, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and outcomes.

The position includes a 12/36 schedule with shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks, and Weekend as Needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years RN experience in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Oncology chemotherapy experience.
• CA RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean environment and infection control.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications, perform treatments and monitor responses.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team for safe, efficient care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and medications.
• Document patient care in the EHR following standards.
• Provide preceptorship and mentorship to new graduates and staff.
• Serve as Relief Charge Nurse as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies with clinical skills.
