Job summary

Crisp Regional Hospital, Inc. in Cordele, GA is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT for the night shift to join the laboratory team. You will prepare specimens, run tests, and report results under the supervision of the Manager of the Clinical Laboratory.

The role requires formal MLT training or equivalent education, with up to one year of related experience and appropriate certification. Duties include QC checks, instrument maintenance, inventory, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma with science emphasis and formal medical laboratory technician training or equivalent.
• Alternative: two years of clinical laboratory experience or an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Two years (90 quarter hours) or equivalent education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for tests according to test protocols.
• Conducts laboratory tests and analysis on specimens according to procedures.
• Performs and records quality control checks and calibrates testing equipment.
• Records and reports test results; communicates critical results to medical staff.
• Maintains inventory, assists with instrument maintenance, and ensures a clean work area.
• Follows safety, infection control, and universal precautions; may cover shifts as needed.
