Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments.
• Documents quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students.
• Improves laboratory procedures to meet standards.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports accreditation requirements.
• Supports transfusion services and other departments as needed.
• Assists in critical care settings with timely results.
