Job summary

Cardinal Health in Norfolk, NE is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to manufacture medical devices. The role requires safe operation, identifying emergency stops, and reporting safety concerns; you will load, package, label, and assemble goods on the production line.

You will start and maintain machines, monitor operation, move materials, verify counts, and maintain cleaning and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Machine Operator will set up and run light industrial semi-automated equipment to make a variety of medical devices.
• Operate in-house machines safely – identify emergency stops and stop the process when safety issues are identified, and report safety concerns.
• Participate in loading, packaging, and labeling operations in a routine and repetitious manner prior to shipment.
• Assemble goods on production line.
• Start and maintain machines, observe for correct operation, and adjust as needed.
• Move empty and full bags/totes/boxes to and from the machine, add labels/weigh product/verify count/add to box/insert into shipper as needed, and stack onto pallet.
• Review in-process/finished material while operating – inform designated teammates of any machine malfunction or defective product.
• Maintain cleaning documentation and safety check documentation in the company system.
• Practice department’s medical manufacturing and housekeeping procedures and complete cleaning verification checklists as required.
• Read, write, comprehend, and follow specifications, procedures, and instructions written in English.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive and productive team environment.
• Assist with other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
• Work overtime as required.
