Job summary

UKHS St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS seeks a night shift, part-time Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. You will coordinate safe patient care delivery and monitor progress for diverse patient populations, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, prioritizing goals, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. Previous Med-Surg experience is preferred; licensure and certifications must be current within policy

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Active Kansas RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required for Tele, ICU and PCU units.
• Oncology certification required after post-surgery care.
• All certifications must be completed within the first year of employment.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing; familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• The RN coordinates safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient and family needs, prioritizes goals, evaluates care, and revises the plan of care as needed.
• The RN delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes and adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
