Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night contract in Kansas. Requires at least 1 year of hospital Med/Surg experience and a KS or compact RN license. Orientation includes a virtual session on Monday followed by on-unit training for the rest of the week.

Shifts are 12 hours (1900–0700) with weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. Local candidates within 60 miles are preferred and may convert to permanent after the contract ends.

Qualifications

• Active KS or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA.
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0700.
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per month.
• Holiday coverage in rotation as needed.
• May float within scope of practice.
• On-call: 1 shift per month.
• Facility is nicotine-free.
• Local candidates within 60-mile radius for consideration.
• Local hires may convert to permanent after first contract.
• Orientation includes a virtual session on Monday then on-unit training for remainder of week.
