Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic for the Night Shift to maintain electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery, ensuring performance within specifications and supporting a safe work environment.

The role requires reading gauges, troubleshooting, setup, and adherence to GMP/BRC/ISO standards, with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods; a HS diploma or GED is preferred, and an Associate's degree/technical cert is encouraged.

Qualifications

• HS Degree or GED preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Good vision for visual inspections
• Color discernment for parts
• Operator I certification and machine run/setup understanding
• Mechanical skills/aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 pounds several times per shift
• Ability to stand/walk/bend/climb stairs for long periods
• Read/write/speak English to communicate quality and production issues
• Basic math and PC skills
• Associate's degree/technical cert within a reasonable time or applicable experience

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Repairs, maintenance, sets up and troubleshoots production machinery independently.
• Reads inspection gauges.
• Performs record-keeping duties.
• Communicates engineering issues and creates work requests.
• May issue parts to machines and record in SAP.
• Performs safety checks and follows lockout procedures.
• Monitors multiple high-speed assembly machines and backs up Operator.
• May train new Assembly Mechanic I.
• Performs housekeeping duties for machine and plant optimization.
• Meets the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all activities.
