Job summary

O’Neal Steel is hiring a Material Handler / Yard Dog for the Birmingham, AL facility on the 3rd shift. You will load and unload materials and move them with forklifts, cranes, and other equipment, following established procedures.

This role requires reading a tape measure, operating various hand tools, and delivering high-quality work to both internal and external customers. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a range of material handling equipment including forklift and cranes.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Proficiency with hand tools for setup and minor adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials in a warehouse setting.
• Move material using equipment to and from trucks, trains, and storage areas.
• Follow established procedures with minimal independent decision making.
• Work on the 3rd shift (8:00 PM–4:00 AM) Sunday to Thursday; overtime as needed.
