Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Material Handler III to safely ship, package, and cycle count materials across the plant.

The role involves operating PIVs, moving materials between buildings, and ensuring inventory accuracy while supporting 6S initiatives. Requirements include 1 year of material handling experience, MRO and warehouse shipping knowledge, and a valid Class B license with certification expectations.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Repair and Operation (MRO) process.
  • Knowledge of warehouse shipping processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to use a computer; (e.g.Word, Excel,Internet and manufacturing software).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with workers and supervisor.
  • Ability to deal with problems and non-standardized situations with multiple variables.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Medical certifications for DOT purposes.
  • Class B permit within30 daysof accepting joboffer
  • Class B license within90 daysof hire
  • Certified Scissor Lift Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Packages all finished goods products with correct packaging materials, labels, and details, per customer specifications.
  • Follows schedule/instructions for materials to be moved, where to move, and how often.
  • Operates all powered industrial vehicles (PIV's) and other equipment to assist with material handling.
  • Secures proper lifting attachments to PIV's to move materials properly and safely.
  • Organizes and stores materials efficiently including attaching identifying labels.
  • Records all materials movements into Syteline/WMS using a barcode scanner.
  • Supports Warehouse 6S and PPI initiatives and programs.
  • Participates in year-end full physical inventory count.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Picks and packs shipments.
  • Performs pallet re-configurations.
  • Performs cycle counts involving packaging/office supplies.
  • Drives and maintains company box trucks.
  • Moves materials from building to building around campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Material Handler III safely ships, packages and cycle counts materials for the warehouse. This position safely packages and moves raw materials, finished goods, scrap materials, equipment and any other miscellaneous materials within the plant to support Manufacturing Department, Warehouse, Lab, Maintenance, and Inventory Accuracy. This role includes driving and maintaining company box trucks while moving materials around campus. This position reports the status of all work to the Leader.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee must:

  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • MeetMativcertification requirements to operatePIV's.
PPE Requirements

Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including:

  • Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe)

  • Bump Caps
  • Protective Gloves; when performing certain tasks
  • Hearing Protection; whenrequired
  • Other personal protective equipment asrequiredfor certain tasks
Work Environment

Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment.
