Job summary

Sonoco in DeForest, WI is seeking a Material Handler to operate a forklift, unload and stage raw materials, inspect and label finished goods, and maintain an organized warehouse. The role reports to the Shipping Supervisor and requires safety-minded handling of materials and packaging supplies.

The position offers a 6pm–2am shift, with a hourly wage of $29.38, plus benefits described for U.S. employees. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and support food-safety guidelines as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience in fast-paced environments.
• Safety-oriented approach to work.
• Familiar with LP gas tank handling rules.
• Able to work the scheduled shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift during routine duties.
• Unloads, inspects, and stages raw materials, scrap dunnage, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.
• Removes finished products from production areas with proper identification, labeling and documentation.
• Replenishes supplies in assigned areas and coordinates with shipping/receiving.
