Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking a Material Handler for the Night Shift in Kings Mountain, NC. The role involves operating forklifts and related equipment to move, stage, and unload materials, while ensuring accurate inventory and production flow.

Night schedule runs Monday–Friday from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, with pay increases at 6 months and 1 year. The position requires forklift experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proximity within 50 miles of the Kings Mountain facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Forklift experience.
• No relocation is available; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Kings Mountain, NC facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, lifting aids, and overhead hoists to move materials and load/unload shipments.
• Validate part quantities and material accuracy; report discrepancies or safety issues.
• Support changeovers by coordinating with Operators/Leads and preparing materials in advance.
• Use FCS, Oracle, and WMS systems to maintain accurate inventory and manufacturing data.
• Maintain 100% transactional accuracy under time constraints and complete forklift safety audits.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental and standard work procedures including QS 9000, TS 16949, CQI-9, and ISO 14000.
• Collaborate with team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals; support continuous improvement.
