Job summary

Culture Fresh Foods, INC is seeking a Material Handler to join our Production team in Naugatuck, CT. The role focuses on staging and managing materials for manufacturing with strict GMP, SQF, and HACCP adherence.

The candidate will work with Production, QA, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate materials flow and timely delivery of packaging and ingredients, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Requires attention to detail and forklift familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; logistics or supply chain training is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
• Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and quality protocols in food production.
• Proficient with basic computer use and handheld scanning devices.
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate forklift and warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately stage and deliver materials to production areas using handheld scanners and inventory systems.
• Verify label and packaging information against printed documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Remove and return unused materials to designated areas, including hold or disposal zones.
• Support waste reduction by properly disposing of corrugate, plastics, and other materials.
• Prepare materials and ingredients for upcoming production runs and label/stage accordingly.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Director to ensure adequate inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organized material storage and staging areas through sweeping, mopping, and general housekeeping.
• Accurately complete and submit documentation related to materials handling and line clearance.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor.
