Job summary

Novo Building Products in Zeeland, MI is hiring a Material Handler/Bander for the night shift. The role involves banding materials, preparing for staging and shipping, and ensuring accuracy and safety in daily operations.

You will operate safely, meet timelines, read procedures, and work overtime as needed. The position offers a stable full-time schedule with weekend opportunities and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic math, interpersonal skills, and reasoning.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all orders are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
• Bands material, safely using equipment provided to secure materials for shipment.
• Labels banded carts ensuring accuracy of units, destination, handler, etc.
• Sustains a clean work area by sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, keeps dust collector clean, etc. to prepare for the next shift.
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• May be required to successfully pass PIT training while following all safety requirements established within Novo.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
