Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Canaan, CT is seeking an Entry-Level Material Handler for a 12-month contract on W2 to support a 7pm–7am night shift. The role offers 40 hours per week and a wage range of $16–$20 per hour in a medical devices environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, minimal warehouse experience, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to read and write English. Training and licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year warehouse experience or related experience.
• Obtains and/or maintains licenses or training as needed.
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area.
• Effective communication skills understood by coworkers.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend English documents and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse.
• May maintain records.
• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.
