Job summary

B. Braun US Pharmaceutical Manufacturing LLC in Irvine, CA is hiring an Operating Technician for a Sun–Tue/Wed 5:30pm–5:30am onsite role.

You will operate manufacturing equipment, monitor quality, troubleshoot line interruptions, and support preventive maintenance while training operators and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience, and strong technical problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Technical & Hands-On requirements completed and passed at appropriate level.
• Strong knowledge to apply technical principles to manufacturing operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues with good judgment.
• Ability to work with supervisors, leads and peers and coordinate with external contractors.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
• Preferred: Associate degree or technical degree; industry certs may help.
• Experience training operators and supporting peers.
• Experience with continuous improvement methods like 5S, KATA, Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned manufacturing equipment per SOPs and standard work.
• Monitor product quality, handle deviations, and document batch records and logs.
• Troubleshoot machine stoppages, perform repairs, and coordinate escalation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with operations, mechanics, and engineers.
• Train operators on standard work and troubleshooting techniques.
• Recommend changes to operating procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (LPMS, 5S, KATA, Kaizen).
