About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead night shift production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement while leading supervisors and production teams to meet business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, proven leadership experience, and a track record of improving operational performance through effective workforce management, process optimization, and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage night shift manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to production supervisors and their teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics including throughput, scrap, rework, downtime, and on-time delivery.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and Shipping departments to ensure operational success.
• Investigate and resolve production, quality, and personnel issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, employee development, and performance management.
• Support production scheduling and workflow planning to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supervisors, leads, and production personnel.
• Strong background in production planning, scheduling, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Experience reducing scrap, improving processes, and driving operational performance.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• High-volume manufacturing operations.
• Cable, wire, plastics, extrusion, industrial, or related manufacturing environments.
• Workforce planning and labor management.
• Quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Budgeting, cost control, and materials management.
