SURESTAFF is hiring an experienced Manual Machinist for a large manufacturing client in Valparaiso, IN. This Direct Hire role manufactures parts per blueprint or process instruction, ensuring all specifications are met. Direct Hire; hourly pay is $36.47/hr with overtime after 8 hours, equating to $87,360/yr.

D-Shift is 6p-6a Thu-Fri-Sat and every other Wednesday; day-shift training may be available. Senior responsibilities include operating surface grinders, lathes, drilling presses, and milling

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with manual machines (milling, grinding, lathes)
• Experience working with tolerances within .0001
• Must possess strong basic math skills
• Must have great attention to detail
• Must be able to work independently, ideally possessing leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Operate a surface grinder, lathe, polishing wheel, drill press, hand tools, and mill (tolerances within .0001).
• Assemble, clean and adjust intricate die set assemblies.
• Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company.
• Follow all company safety protocol.
• Ability to read tooling & die prints.
• Ability to make decisions when troubleshooting material defects from potential compromised tooling.
