Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shift (6p-6a), three to four days per week, at our IL locations. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, repairing electrical and mechanical systems, and leading helpers to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications include 1+ year in a similar role, ability to read prints, and PLC/automation proficiency. You will join a safety‑driven team with opportunities for profit sharing and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Ability to read prints and drawings to perform tasks accurately.
• Electrical, plumbing and mechanical repair skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze machinery issues, disassemble, replace or repair parts, and reassemble for operation.
• Provide guidance to helpers to complete tasks efficiently.
• Install new equipment and run wiring to ensure proper operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and monitor stock levels.
