Job summary

US Synthetic in Orem, UT, is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for a Sunday-Thursday night shift (10pm–6:30am). You will troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement projects to maximize machine uptime.

You will train teammates, follow safety procedures, and maintain thorough documentation while supporting TPM initiatives and plant policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of higher education degree or certificate in maintenance-related fields or 15+ years of mechanical/electrical repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No immigration sponsorship available for this role.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics to guide repairs.
• Commitment to safety regulations and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace (5S).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems per schematics.
• Respond to work orders to improve production capacity and reduce waste.
• Move and install machines based on demand.
• Design and implement upgrades with maintenance teams.
• Train colleagues in maintenance tasks and TPM practices.
• Follow LOTO procedures and use a multimeter for diagnostics.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
