Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years industrial maintenance and repair experience
• Ability to use a wide variety of tools and measuring devices
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate mechanical problems and implement repairs
• Good blueprint reading skills and math for measurements
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electricity and plumbing
• OSHA safety knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Good electronic repair knowledge and computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Detect and accurately diagnose equipment problems
• Disassemble equipment and repair or replace parts
• Test repaired equipment to ensure correct operation
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance
• Install new equipment according to manufacturers’ specifications
• Order parts through Facilities Manager and purchasing
• Keep thorough record of maintenance and repair activities
• Work proactively to identify and resolve safety issues
• Maintain ISO 9001 responsibilities
• Participate in Lean activities
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Work overtime as required
• Other duties as assigned
