Job summary

Lane Enterprises is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) for the Alachua, FL site. The role involves maintaining building, grounds and equipment, with extensive troubleshooting, testing, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure optimal mechanical performance.

Essential duties include preventive maintenance on plant and fleet equipment, diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, and performing welding and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
• Able to read blueprints, layouts, work orders, specs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Basic math; read/measures accurately.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Will need forklift operator certification and aerial lift training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plant and fleet equipment (oil changes, greases, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Use overhead hoists, cranes and tools safely.
• Maintain MRO inventory.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate as needed for guards and repairs.
• Snow plow and salt walkways when needed.
• Assist with office tasks when Superintendent is away.
• Other duties as assigned.
