Job summary

Balchem Corporation in Montvale, NJ, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide the facility and manufacturing departments with proper maintenance and repair to minimize downtime, including installation and troubleshooting for all equipment.

The role includes Preventative Maintenance (PM) and safety programs, maintaining boilers, HVAC, plant systems, using hand/tools, documenting repairs, and staying compliant with GMP and quality standards. Balchem offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining boilers, HVAC and plant systems.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks daily, weekly and monthly.
Capable of using hand and power tools and measuring devices.
Knowledge of GMPs is a plus.
Boilers License-2nd class B or above preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair and troubleshoot boilers, HVAC and other plant systems.
Perform repairs and/or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Coordinate and participate in PM tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Perform troubleshooting of equipment issues and perform maintenance on all facility equipment to correct problems.
Document all adjustments and repairs made to the machines during the shift.
Promote GMP compliance and help correct GMP issues.
Monitor downtime and communicate with the Manager/Supervisor when standards are not met.
Install and repair wiring electrical and electronic components, high-pressure systems, and plumbing.
Source and order parts in catalogs or online and provide information for approvals.
Assist in the development of work instructions, training, and auditing team members.
