Job summary

Protein-Solutions in Joplin, MO seeks a Maintenance Tech I for nights to support electrical, mechanical, and HVAC related tasks across the plant. You will install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, document findings, and work with the team to keep production running safely.

The role requires physical work, lifting up to 100 lbs, and familiarity with ammonia systems and GMP safety. This is a full-time night position with a 12-hour shift, offering hands-on experience, potential growth

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and control systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and equipment malfunctions using testing devices.
Diagnose and repair ammonia refrigeration problems and related systems.
Communicate status and recap issues with maintenance team and other departments.
Dismantle defective machines and install parts to return equipment to production.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machinery parts.
Document parts used and requisition items as needed.
Set up and operate grinders and drills to repair or fabricate parts.
Maintain organization of parts room and maintenance shop.
Work in hot/cold environments and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
