Job summary

Continental in Norfolk, Nebraska, is seeking Maintenance Technicians with an electro-mechanical or related degree or with 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, facilities, and structures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, reading diagrams, and applying lean manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• A 2 year Electro Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related degree OR has a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with experience in areas listed in this job posting.
• Willing to work night shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Set up and operate machining tools such as engine lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders, alter or construct replacement parts, recondition production tooling
• Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling, and related facilities and equipment
• Read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints
• Knowledge of PLCS, electronic and mechanical systems
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Identify and resolve problems before they become costly
• Welding, fabrication and machining skills
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing tools
• Assume the job of temporary team leader on a rotational basis
• Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Required to maintain certifications of plant safety and housekeeping practices
• Understanding of lean manufacturing
• Work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities
• Other duties as necessary
