Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a Maintenance Utility for a 12-hour night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) on a 2-2-3 rotation. You will keep buildings and utility systems clean, safe, and fully operational, handling preventive maintenance and urgent repairs in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements include 1–3 years in maintenance, basic carpentry/plumbing/HVAC knowledge, ability to lift and work at heights, and strong safety practices. Join a team focused on reliability, efficiency and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to stand long hours and move through buildings and grounds.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping and mechanics.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with safe use and storage of hazardous materials.
• Oral and reading comprehension to understand instructions and work orders.
• Ability to read, understand and follow MSDS and manuals.
• Lockout/tagout familiarity and basic millwright functions.
• Computer skills for work orders and emails.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and immediate facility repairs.
• Plan and prioritize equipment repairs and manage installations/relocations.
• Operate material handling and assist maintenance personnel.
• Perform daily service like lubrication and fluid balance on equipment.
• Prepare hazardous and nonhazardous wastes for storage or shipment.
• Support packaging, shipping prep and general housekeeping.
