Job summary

PAC Worldwide in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Machine Packer for the third shift to pack products from machines into cartons, ensuring quality and safety. You will follow stacking diagrams, label cartons, measure products, and stop machines if defects are found, all while maintaining pace with throughput and supporting team members.

The role requires basic reading of instructions and safety rules, a HS diploma (preferred), and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak and write English and follow instructions.
• Ability to read safety rules and work instructions.
• Must be able to read a ruler and operate a calculator.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must maintain good attendance and be a team player.
• Manufacturing work history of at least 6 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pack product off machine per orientation on stacking diagrams.
• Pack product into cartons without deforming the product.
• Ensure the carton quantity is correct, and every carton is labeled appropriately.
• Measure and test product. Identify defects and notify operator; stop machinery if defects persist.
• Maintain a pace that keeps up with machine throughput capabilities.
• Remove start-ups and screen for defects.
• Inspect and clear bag overflow area.
• Complete required quality checks following procedures.
• Operate E-stops and recognize safety-sensitive situations requiring locking out/tagout.
• Set up and operate case sealing machines.
• Assist other team members as needed (stacking cartons, screening bags, cleaning area).
• Practice safe work and report near misses; follow first aid protocols.
• Maintain a clean, orderly area and address housekeeping issues promptly.
• Become proficient in packing at least one core product type and adapt to different machinery when requested.
• Work overtime as needed; other duties may be assigned.
