Insteel Industries is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator to learn and operate equipment and to identify and repair simple mechanical problems such as stalls or jams. You will be trained to operate various machines and learn processes related to manufacturing steel wire products.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, assisting in repair and maintenance, documenting production information on tally sheets, and performing basic measurements (length, diameter, weights).

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic operations.
• Must understand written instructions and be able to complete forms.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment and identify/repair simple mechanical issues (stalls, jams).
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of machines and facilities as needed.
• Document production information on tally sheets and in computer systems.
• Understand basic measurement principles (length, diameter, weights, counts).
• Night shift position.
