Job Purpose

Set up, operate, or tend to machines and equipment to support the production of textile products.

Responsibilities

1. Work safely in a fast-paced environment.
2. Operate high-speed machinery and conduct tests to ensure optimal performance.
3. Meet or exceed quality standards.
4. Maintain regular attendance and follow company procedures.
5. Follow instructions and work cooperatively with team members and visitors.
6. Perform duties in various temperatures, including hot conditions.
7. Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas.
8. Complete drug and background screenings successfully.

Knowledge and Skills

• Monitoring gauges and indicators.
• Controlling and troubleshooting equipment.
• Conducting quality inspections.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for up to 10 hours per shift on wooden floors.
• Move over an area of approximately 300 ft.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs., pushing 500 lbs. on wheels.
• Reaching approximately 4,500 times per shift.
• Constant bending and stooping.
• Walking between machines spaced 36 inches apart.

Work Environment and Safety

• Standard hearing and vision tests are provided.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required.
• Handling chemicals and dyes with appropriate safety measures.
• Work may involve temperatures exceeding 100 degrees in some departments.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $12.45 to $14.30 per hour.
