Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine lubrication, fueling, and preventative maintenance on quarry equipment. You will inspect machines, document conditions, and support safe, reliable operations.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge of diesel-powered equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a production setting. Starting pay is $22/hour, with competitive benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns to support safe and reliable operations.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment conditions to maintenance and operations teams.
• Assist with basic repairs, fluid changes, filter replacements, and equipment cleaning activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping standards to help maintain a safe work environment.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to safely perform lubrication, preventative maintenance, and equipment servicing activities.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel-powered machinery, and mechanical systems.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with all company and regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment components.
• Ability to safely access and work around heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, and stationary plant equipment.
• Must be capable of using hand tools and performing repetitive manual tasks with appropriate dexterity.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in outdoor conditions throughout the year.
