Job summary

The Ness Center in Mandeville, LA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pregnant and Parenting Women (PPW) Program on the Night shift. You will provide nursing care and medication management to mothers, while supporting children in the program and maintaining a trauma-informed environment.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, document responses, and educate patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana LPN license.
• At least one year of LPN experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Obtain vital signs and monitor changes in condition.
• Assist with nursing care, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and communicate observations.
• Document medications, PRN assessments, orders, and responses.
• Maintain medication security and counts.
• Provide medication education and Nursing Education Groups.
• Support patient observation, milieu management, and unit safety.
• Coordinate with team during periods of increased acuity.
• Assist with infant/child safety and supervision as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed care.
