Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an LPN to join our med‑surg team on the night shift.

You will deliver direct patient care, monitor patients, and collaborate with RNs, CNAs and unit staff to ensure safe, high‑quality care during a 7pm–7am, 36‑hour weekly schedule. Requirements include a Louisiana LPN license, completion of a Board Certified Nursing Program, BLS certification, and IV therapy credential.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Nursing Program completion.
• Louisiana LPN licensure is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• IV therapy certification required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
• Supervises the activities of Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Technicians and Unit Assistants.
