Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting at the Newton, NC facility. The role includes administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care in coordination with the healthcare team.

Applicants must hold a NC LPN license, be CPR/BLS certified, and bring 1–3 years of healthcare experience; correctional care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with NC license.
• Active CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience in healthcare settings, preferably correctional care, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, vitals, and prescribed medications.
• Monitor patient conditions and document care according to policy.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records per regulations and facility policies.
• Educate patients and staff on basic health and wellness topics.
