Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal IV therapy-training program or equivalent.
• BLS/CPR certification within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and document care in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer medications and assist with procedures as directed by provider.
• Initiate peripheral IV access and administer IV flushes and IVPBs per policy.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and patient transfers.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate CPR or appropriate action.
