Deer Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing in Abingdon, VA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The position offers a night shift, flexible full-time or part-time hours, a $3,500 sign-on bonus paid quarterly over a year, and benefits including overtime, in-service training, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds; physical work heavy.
• Stand/walk for 4+ hours daily.
• Ability to bend/stoop for more than 1 hour.

Responsibilities

• Observe and manage residents’ health per individual needs.
• Provide routine care, ensure comfort, and report changes.
• Collect and review patient history, vitals, and physical condition.
• Administer medications and injections, wound care, and basic diagnostics.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
