Job summary

Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Resident Home department. This full-time night shift role (7:00pm - 7:00am) offers nursing care duties, patient assessments, and medication administration in a 25-bed hospital setting.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and IL LPN license, with preferred SNF experience and mandatory in-services. Competitive benefits are provided in support of patient care and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Possess current skilled nursing facility/hospital experience (within 5 years) of being a new nursing graduate (within 2 years).
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Completion of annual mandatory in-services and competency measurements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure assessments are performed timely and plans of care address all conditions.
• Recognizes emergencies promptly and ensures crash cart readiness and emergency procedures.
• Administers medications and IVs timely and accurately.
• Performs treatments and procedures as appropriate to the Resident Home.
• Educates residents and families; delivers information clearly and documents it.
