Responsibilities

• Receive report and count with off-going nurse.
• Comply with State and Federal Rules and Regulations for long term care facilities; follow facility policies and procedures.
• Supervise, teach, and assist CNAs as necessary.
• Function as an important member of the nursing team, receiving assignment from and reporting to supervisor(s).
• Administer medications as ordered with each medication pass and document in the EHR.
• Update the schedule and daily assignment as needed.
• Assist physicians when at facility and via phone.
• Record glucose levels in the EHR and notify physicians as ordered.
• Stock medication carts at the end of your shift.
