Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana Practical Nurse license or compact state license as LPN.
• BLS-CPR certified.
• Must be adaptable, decisive and able to work within scope of practice.
• Possesses basic problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and reassessments of patients.
• Documents accurately according to hospital policy.
• Demonstrates competency in medication administration.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge.
• Organizes patient care and delegates to unlicensed staff as appropriate.
