Job summary

Warren General Hospital is seeking a compassionate LPN to join the Behavioral Health Unit on the night shift. You will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to individuals with mental health and behavioral health needs, collaborating with RNs and the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes focused assessments, appropriate documentation, and adherence to policies while maintaining a calm, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Previous experience in behavioral health preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, observation, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with RNs and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to behavioral health patients per hospital policies and scope of practice.
• Perform focused nursing assessments and ongoing observations; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments within LPN scope; monitor effects and adverse reactions.
• Contribute to evaluation of individualized care plans with the RN and team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; apply de-escalation techniques.
