Job summary

Gerdau is seeking a Logistics Operator on the night shift at the Midlothian facility. The role involves loading, unloading and transporting materials with heavy industrial forklifts and other mobile equipment to support production lines.

Responsibilities include following the production schedule, performing quality checks, and aiding inventory management. Basic English, a high school diploma or GED, and safety readiness are required. Overtime nights and weekends may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate large forklifts, overhead cranes and other mobile equipment.
• High school diploma or GED required; basic English literacy.
• 1–2 years mobile equipment experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, cranes and other equipment to move material in the solar pile fabrication process.
• Load conveyor systems with correct steel product per schedule.
• Conduct quality checks on material and ensure proper paint color, squareness, length and bar quality.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist with inventory management and rework as needed.
