Qualifications

• Ability to work with office equipment, computers, and MS Office programs.
• Proficient with Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent inter-personal skills with drivers, other personnel, customers, and management.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Build and match planned freight to day cabs or condo trucks and drivers.
• Review driver requests for time off and plan loads for same-day or next-day dispatching.
• Coordinate with department for driver, freight, and asset availability.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on trucks out of service or returning to service.
• Plan for future freight when available from customers.
• Track drivers, loads and receivers to ensure dispatching runs smoothly.
• Coordinate backhauls in dedicated environment to meet customer needs.
• Maintain frequent contact with assigned drivers and monitor fatigue and equipment issues.
• Ensure loads are appropriate for teams and hours available.
• Monitor Hours of Service for dispatching and compliance.
