Job summary

Keystone in New Castle, Indiana, is seeking a hands-on Mill Operator to support livestock feed production and related paperwork. Primary duties include manufacturing feed, loading/unloading trucks, and handling grain while maintaining safe operations.

This role also covers equipment maintenance, forklift operation, and strong teamwork to meet quality and regulatory standards; training provided, and candidates with an agriculture background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Have an understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.

• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
• Mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
