Job summary

BD in Sandy, UT seeks a Senior Line Shift Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, mentor production teams, and drive operational performance. Responsibilities include staffing, resource allocation, safety and quality adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives on a 6pm-6am rotating 12s A shift.

Preferred BA/BS in a relevant field and 1 year leadership experience; 3 years manufacturing in an automated environment is ideal.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred BA/BS in Science, Industrial Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience in a highly automated environment.
• 1 year of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources and priorities within the shift.
• Make final staffing decisions for the entire shift.
• Address safety issues or incidents promptly.
• Develop and implement training plans within the line for the assigned shift.
• Engage in daily touchpoints with line associates to support the Equipment Owner program, including Safety, Quality, AM defect tagging, 5S, CILTs, Center lining, TPM, breakdowns, and top losses.
• Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.
• Facilitate open communication between production associates and management and voice concerns appropriately.
• Support timely resolution of issues on the line and demonstrate servant leadership while upholding BD values.
• Anticipate problems and address them before they affect production.
• Prepare and run Tier 1 production meetings and align with the LCO team.
• Ensure fair application of company policies; involve HR when needed.
• Ensure daily Pit Stops are completed and targets updated on the PVD.
• Focus line resources to support quality or line issues as they occur.
• Spend 100% of time on the production floor unless meeting or coaching is required.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate results and raise issues to the Line Leader.
• Manage Kanban and work orders and reconcile material.
• Ensure accuracy of quality checks and documentation.
• Performs other duties as required.
