Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance or relevant field
• 6+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred)
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership or senior technician capacity
• Knowledge of TPM, TPS, or lean manufacturing practices preferred
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance techniques
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and automated systems (PLCs, robotics, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong leadership and communications skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
• PLC skills required (Allen‑Bradley PLC experience a plus)

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance activities on the production floor to maximize uptime and reduce downtime
• Support TPM and Lean maintenance practices including preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance
• Coordinate and assign tasks to maintenance technicians
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems; use root cause analysis (5 Whys)
• Ensure maintenance work complies with OSHA and company safety standards
• Log maintenance activities and equipment history in CMMS
• Work cross-functionally to support other teams and align maintenance schedules
• Participate in Genchi Genbutsu to address equipment challenges on the floor
