Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to manage operations across all laboratory sections and cover the supervisor in their absence. The role involves performing MT III duties and ensuring smooth shift operation.

Qualified candidates will have MT/CLS certification eligibility (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS), a lab science degree, and at least three years in a clinical laboratory. Color-Acuity screening is required; weekend work is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a lab science or medical technology with eligibility for certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS).
• Associate’s degree in laboratory science with certification as MT/MLS/CLS.
• Military program graduate in science with MT/CLS certification.
• Three (3) years’ experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Ability to implement and perform clinical lab procedures per standards and regulations.
• Color-Acuity screening Test required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medical Technologist must know operation of every lab section and supervise in absence of supervisor.
• Perform duties of a Medical Technologist III and monitor shift operation.
