Job summary

Canteen in Downey, CA is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker for a full-time night shift from 1:30 am to 10:00 am. The role supports the Manager on Duty in coordinating associates and maintaining top customer service with strict hygiene and safety standards. Online applications are accepted only.

Previous warehouse experience is preferred; this position includes the opportunity to contribute to menu planning, ordering, and inventory tasks while ensuring accurate cash handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, monitors and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items while adhering to company standards for presentation, sanitation and safety; ensures portion control.
• Follows work procedures and expedites workflow to ensure efficient meal service to all service areas.
• Directs sanitation and safety of the facility and associates in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
• Oversees productivity and breaks of associates and communicates performance issues to management.
• Helps onboard and train associates; may conduct pre-service meetings.
• Properly handles cash; completes daily, weekly and monthly reports, including weekly inventory, cash reports and production records.
